Why do I need to complete a Puppy Questionnaire?

Our 1st Step!

We request from all potential puppy families the completion of our on-line Puppy Questionnaire. For ROBEL PWDs, it’s of the upmost importance to match the appropriate puppy with their forever family. We do this to create a lifetime of success for both the puppy and family. For this reason, we want to learn about you, members of your family and the home environment in which the puppy will be raised. Please be prepared to answer many questions and be willing to develop a relationship with us. We ask you to view this as a way for us to understand what you really want from your new puppy family member. We NEED you to be open and honest with all of your answers for this new family member to be a success.

When do we have verbal communication?

Once we have had an opportunity to review & accepted your puppy questionnaire, we look forward to having a phone/zoom meet & greet. This allows both ROBEL PWDs & our potential extended families to discuss any outstanding questions and/or clarifications from the Puppy Questionnaire. We are also open to answering any other questions you may have regarding the breed and our dogs. In this step, we are delighted to offer our new families any references they would like to request from us. As well, we may request references from you. This is to further strengthen our decision to match the appropriate puppy with their forever family.

The next step is the most fun for us and you. We welcome you to meet with us and our dogs. This will give you an opportunity to see how we raise our dogs and experience their wonderful personalities directly.

Why must I complete a questionnaire?

All prospective puppy families are required to complete our online survey. This aids in finding the ideal dog its permanent family. We do this to provide the puppy and family with a lifetime of prosperity.

We must get to know you, your family, and the household where the puppy will be raised to establish the best fit. Please be ready to engage in connection with us and answer a lot of questions. We need you to be completely honest in all of your responses for this matching to work!

After the questionnaire, what comes next?

Once you've submitted the form, we'll get in touch with you to arrange a zoom call or phone call. You can clarify any doubts you have and ask all of your questions here. You are welcome to enquire in-depth about the PWD puppies breeds. We'll also talk about any unanswered queries or, if necessary, request explanations. You are welcome to ask for references, and we will also make three reference requests from you. This further enables us to choose wisely when pairing the ideal Portugal water puppy with its permanent family.

When will we get to meet our newest four-legged member of the family?

The most enjoyable part of the process is when we ask you to come to meet our dogs and ourselves after the phone chat. This will allow you to observe how we nurture our puppies and get a sense of their beautiful personalities! After this, you can get your Portuguese water dogs for adoption! It will barely take you 15 minutes!
